Asessment Process

Assessment is the process of evaluating the competencies of an individual in a particular occupation or skill area. TESDA conducts assessments through its network of accredited assessment centers, which are located in various parts of the country. The assessment process typically involves a combination of written tests, practical demonstrations, and interviews.

Certification

Certification is the process of granting a formal recognition to an individual who has demonstrated competency in a particular occupation or skill area. TESDA issues a National Certificate (NC) or a Certificate of Competency (COC) to individuals who have successfully completed the assessment process. These certificates serve as proof of an individual's competency and are recognized by employers both in the Philippines and abroad.

To apply for assessment and certification, individuals must first complete a TESDA-accredited TVET program. Once they have completed their training, they can then apply for assessment at an accredited assessment center. Theassessment fees vary depending on the level of certification being applied for and the assessment center chosen.

How to Apply for Assessment and Certification

  1. Complete a TESDA-accredited TVET program.
  2. Prepare the following requirements:
    • Two (2) pieces of passport size ID photo
    • Original and photocopy of any valid ID (e.g. passport, driver's license, etc.)
    • Training certificates and assessment fees
  3. Choose an accredited assessment center from TESDA's list of accredited centers.
  4. Submit the requirements and pay the assessment fees.
  5. Take the assessment tests and practical demonstrations.
  6. Wait for the results and claim your National Certificate (NC) or Certificate of Competency (COC).
